Special Events

The Special Events at the 2024 Canadian Transplant Games are an opportunity to have fun, connect with community and acknowledge and honor the gift of transplantation. Events are held throughout the games and are included in the registration fees.

Athletes' Parade & Opening Ceremonies

August 3, 2024
Kick-off the games at the Athlete’s Parade, followed by the official opening ceremonies of the 10th Canadian Transplant Games.
Donor Walk

August 5, 2024
This very special 1km walk honours those who make organ donation possible: deceased organ donors, their brave and selfless families as well as living donors.
3-on-3 Youth Basketball Clinic

August 6, 2024
This is an interactive event designed by our Youth Ambassador and heart recipient Dylan Kalambay. It is an opportunity for participants 17 & under to learn how to play basketball, upgrade skills, and experience some 3-on-3 competition.
Family Food Truck Picnic

East vs. West Kickball
