In July of 2003 I was given a second chance at life when My husband unselfishly gave me one of his kidneys.
It was somthing he didn't give a second thought about. When no one in my immediate family was able to donate, he insisted on being tested for compatibility. When the tests came back that he was a good match, he was determined more then ever to give me what I needed most, a new kidney.
Now five years later I am as healthy and strong as I ever, and making the most of each day. I am so grateful to be alive and to be able to watch our son grow into a man, and be able to grow old with my soul mate.
